Did anyone recognize googles fun and new feature to their local listings?

Google has yet again rolled out a new initiative to make their local listings more effective.  They only chose a few types of businesses so far to use it on, so you may not have noticed.

They call it the New Local Carousal and so far it effects:

Hotels, Restaurants, Take out places, bars, nightlife, etc.   (mostly places that people rate and leave reviews.

Type into google:    “Pizza Philadelphia”   or just “Pizza”

An you will see what I mean.

Looks like this can be just another beta attempt to get you better localized results, and maybe more headings will come to follow in other industries.  For now we just have to sit back and wait to see what Googles next move will be.
